Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One year of experience with commercial kitchen equipment and food preparation
- Customer service and supervisory experience
- Basic math skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Ability to pass ServeSafe course within 45 days and maintain certification
- Valid Alaska driver’s license and use of personal vehicle
- Ability to access military installations
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One year experience using commercial kitchen equipment, customer service, food preparation, and supervisory duties
- Mathematical skills for basic calculations and job-related math concepts
- Ability to work with detailed information and maintain confidentiality
- ServeSafe certification or ability to obtain within 45 days
- Valid Alaska driver’s license and access to personal vehicle
- Ability to gain access to military installations
Job Duties
- Manage the operation of nutrition services ensuring quality and cost-effective meal programs
- Supervise kitchen staff and oversee daily food preparation and serving
- Operate and maintain commercial kitchen equipment including steam tables, convection ovens, coolers, and freezers
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain ServeSafe certification
- Maintain accurate records and confidentiality of food service operations
- Provide excellent customer service to students, staff, parents, and community members
- Coordinate with school administration to support nutrition program goals
