Job Description
Clark County School District (CCSD) is one of the largest and most dynamic public school systems in the United States, dedicated to providing high-quality education and support services that foster student success and community development. Based in Henderson, Nevada, the district serves a diverse student population and offers numerous opportunities for professional growth and development within its various departments.
The Elementary Food Service Manager position within the CCSD Superintendent Office is a vital role focused on managing and overseeing food service operations at the Elise L. Wolff Elementary School, located at 1001 Seven Hills Drive in Henderson. This position plays a critical part in ensuring that students receive nutritious, safe meals in a clean and well-organized environment. The Food Service Manager takes on both leadership and hands-on responsibilities to maintain compliance with health and safety standards, implement school district food policies, and foster a positive dining experience for all students.
This is a day job within the food service sector, specifically structured over a nine-month period with seven-hour workdays, aligning with the academic calendar. Candidates for this role are expected to demonstrate strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage food preparation and service logistics efficiently. Working closely with cafeteria staff, school administration, and the district’s Food Service Department, the Food Service Manager ensures that all meals meet state and local regulatory requirements including sanitation and food safety certifications.
The role offers a stable opportunity for individuals passionate about child nutrition and school food services, with clear pathways for certification and professional development as mandated by the district and the Southern Nevada Health District (SNHD). Candidates must be able to provide their own transportation to the primary work location and successfully complete required training during their first year, including obtaining and maintaining a Food Handler Safety Training Card and Food Protection Manager Certification such as ServSafe.
In addition to day-to-day operations, the Elementary Food Service Manager is expected to keep accurate records, manage inventory, coordinate with suppliers, and ensure compliance with all district food service policies. The position demands a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently while supporting a team environment dedicated to student health and wellness.
CCSD is committed to equity, innovation, and community partnership, making this position an excellent fit for individuals who value a collaborative work atmosphere and are eager to contribute to the well-being and academic success of students through exemplary food service management. This role closes for applications on June 24, 2026, making it an opportune moment for qualified candidates to apply and become part of a leading school district dedicated to excellence and student support.
