The role of Electronics Assembler at Crane Aerospace and Electronics is a dynamic and vital position located at the Danvers facility. This full-time, hourly position offers competitive compensation ranging from $31.00 to $39.00 per hour, with the possibility of performance-based bonuses depending on experience and qualifications. The Electronics Assembler contributes significantly to the research and development efforts by assembling various electronic components and prototypes. This role involves working with minimal supervision, utilizing a broad range of assembly skills to build items from start to finish, often using non-standardized processes. The position demands precision and expertise in soldering, component assembly, and working closely with engineers to update technical documentation and improve processes.

As an Electronics Assembler, the incumbent will perform essential tasks such as assembling and soldering electronic components using Surface Mount Technology (SMT), thru-hole techniques, and fine-gauge wiring, often under microscope assistance. The role requires interpreting complex schematics, blueprints, and verbal instructions to execute assembly and rework procedures that align with industry standards like IPC-610 and J-STD-001. Additionally, the assembler will engage in detailed work such as board-level rework, magnetics winding, wire harness assembly, and modification or repair of electronic units.

This role is critical to prototype production, supporting design validations and customer inspections. The Electronics Assembler will also collaborate closely with engineering teams to suggest improvements and assist in maintaining efficient, high-quality production processes. Flexibility to support operations including overtime and varied assembly tasks is essential. Non-essential duties may include building tooling jigs, automated test equipment (ATE), and aiding engineers in updating drawings for release.
