The Electromechanic Maintenance Technician I position at Kohler is based onsite in Huntsville, AL, offering a competitive starting wage of $30.93 per hour plus an additional $1.50 per hour. This role follows a dayshift 2-2-3 rotating schedule from 7 am to 7 pm, with occasional mandatory overtime as needed. Job Requirements
- Physical capability to perform essential duties including bending, lifting and pushing weights up to 45-106 pounds or more
- Ability to work in a heavy industrial environment with exposure to heat, cold, dust and dirt
- Successful completion of drug screen and background check
- Consistent attendance and work performance
- Follow all safety policies and procedures
- Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without requiring sponsorship now or in the future
Job Qualifications
- Must be able to work in the US without restrictions or sponsorship
- Effective communication skills for manufacturing production processes
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Mechanical proficiency and willingness
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in maintenance
- Associates degree in electro-mechanical technology or equivalent desired
- Competency demonstrated through technical testing
- Ability to communicate effectively for manufacturing production processes
- Forklift experience preferred
Job Duties
- Assist in all operations possible in order to learn the skills of the trade
- Assist in getting proper materials to job and delivering parts to shop for repair
- Clean and condition parts to be repaired
- Assist mechanics in moving and assembling production equipment
- Check out necessary tools and equipment from storeroom as directed
- Keep tools clean and in order
- Become familiar with and know how to apply all types of lubrication
