Job Description

Hypertherm Associates, a world leader in industrial cutting solutions, is proud to include OMAX, a top waterjet manufacturer, as part of its family. Located in Kent, WA, OMAX brings over 50 years of cutting-edge innovation and industry expertise to the manufacturing of waterjet systems and provides unparalleled aftermarket service. As a wholly owned subsidiary of Hypertherm Associates — a 100% employee-owned company with a reputation as a Best Place to Work — OMAX benefits from a stable, no-layoff environment and a culture built on shared ownership and success. This position is full-time, with competitive pay ranging from $24 to $26 per hour, based on experience. The work schedule is structured as four 10-hour days, either Monday-Thursday or Tuesday-Friday from 5:00 AM to 3:30 PM, depending on business demands.

We are recruiting Electro-Mechanical Assemblers to join our assembly team. In this role, you will be responsible for assembling small to large electrical and mechanical components that are integral to our waterjet machines. This includes routing wires, installing low voltage electrical components like circuit boards, communication and power cables, terminal boxes, control switch panels, and instrument panels. Your work will be guided by bill of materials and basic blueprints and schematics, ensuring each assembly meets our high standards. Electrical and mechanical troubleshooting with pneumatic and hydraulic systems will also be part of your responsibilities.

As an assembler, you will use both manual and power tools, fixtures, hoists, and precision measuring equipment such as calipers, dial indicators, and ohm/volt meters. A keen eye for detail and the ability to complete tasks independently with minimal supervision are essential. Additionally, the position demands physical stamina to stand and walk for up to 10 hours, the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and manual dexterity for repetitive motions and torque tool control.

We offer a fantastic work environment with comprehensive benefits including reduced medical premiums starting day one, an employee stock ownership program, and developmental opportunities like a college tuition assistance program. Our no-layoff philosophy underscores our commitment to job security. Join us and become part of a company that values teamwork, quality, and ownership culture. Apply today to be part of Hypertherm Associates and OMAX’s ongoing success story.
