Job Requirements
- High school graduation or equivalent
- ability to read, write and understand warning labels, instructions, signs, etc
- willingness to learn, training will be provided
- vocational, trade school or accredited associates program preferred
- minimum of three years electrician experience
- ability to read and interpret warning labels, safety instructions, product use instructions, and electrical drawings including schematics, interconnection, conduit and cabinet drawings
- knowledge and understanding of ladder logic in programmable logic controllers
- working knowledge of the National Electric Code
- ability to solve routine electrical and instrumentation problems effectively
- knowledge of plant safety and lockout procedures and ability to follow all plant rules
- ability to safely and effectively use screwdrivers, pliers, wrenches, basic hand tools, Ohm meter, Meg Ohm meter, recorders, amp meter, conduit bender, threading machine, wire puller, forklift, manlift and related equipment
- may need to pass a basic electrical instrumentation test
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Promote and follow all plant safety guidelines
- troubleshoot, calibrate and repair electric and electronic circuits, equipment, controls, and instrumentation
- interpret and work from blueprints, charts, tables, work orders, verbal instructions and established practices to organize and complete assigned repair jobs
- perform repairs, routine maintenance and preventive maintenance on plant equipment
- perform the construction and installation of new plant electrical equipment and systems
- modify existing plant electrical equipment, instruments and systems
- inspect plant electrical systems and equipment for needed preventive maintenance
- inspect and service electrical motors, including bearing lubrication and replacement
- install power and control wiring including conduit and cable tray
- learn operations and troubleshooting of plant environmental equipment
- maintain housekeeping and clean-up of work areas
- document job duties and repairs
- aid in training electrical apprentices
- perform other duties assigned by the Electrical Supervisor as needed
- observe all safety rules and wear appropriate personal protective equipment
- perform additional duties as assigned by supervisor
