With a vast expertise in manufacturing and sourcing, Novolex utilizes a diverse range of substrates such as resin, paper, molded fiber, aluminum, and more to create innovative packaging products. The company boasts a robust product lineup featuring 120 product categories, over 250 trusted brands, and more than 39,000 Stock Keeping Units (SKUs), demonstrating its capacity to offer both standard and customized packaging solutions that meet the unique demands of its customers worldwide.
Committed to sustainability, Novolex’s vision is anchored on three fundamental pillars: their products, operations, and people. These pillars reinforce the company’s dedication to responsible business practices and environmental stewardship. Novolex integrates sustainability initiatives throughout its operations to reduce environmental impact while ensuring operational excellence and growth. The company’s culture promotes innovation, continuous improvement, and engagement of its workforce to fulfill its sustainability objectives, positioning Novolex as a forward-thinking leader in the packaging industry.
The Electrician role at Novolex, located in Carrollton, TX, provides an exciting opportunity for individuals with a strong background in industrial electrical work to join a leading packaging manufacturer. This position offers a competitive hourly wage of $30.00 to $35.00, based on experience, with an additional $1.50 shift premium for night shifts. The role operates on a Wednesday through Saturday night shift from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, emphasizing the importance of maintaining critical manufacturing operations during production hours.
As an Electrician at Novolex, the successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting complex electrical and mechanical systems integral to the efficient functioning of the manufacturing plant. This includes extensive work with 120, 277, and 480-volt electrical systems, three-phase power, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs), particularly Allen Bradley and RSLogix platforms. The position demands expertise in variable frequency drives (VFD), direct current (DC) and servo drives, process control mechanisms such as 4-20 mA loops, positioning feedback systems, analog controls, and temperature control systems. Candidates with prior experience in extrusion, vacuum and resin control systems, flexographic printing, and bag conversion equipment will find their skills particularly valuable.
Beyond technical skills, the role requires a comprehensive understanding of industrial electrical system maintenance, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, as well as a strong adherence to safety protocols including knowledge of Lock Out Tag Out procedures. The ideal electrician will bring strong electro-mechanical skills, including the ability to read and interpret schematics, ladder logic, sequential logic, and mechanical engineering drawings. Proficiency in using digital multimeters and a solid foundation in computer applications such as Microsoft 365 (Excel, Word, Outlook, Edge) and Adobe software is essential to document and communicate work effectively.
Novolex prioritizes safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement, expecting its electricians to work independently within a fast-paced, dynamic environment while maintaining excellent attendance and time management. The role involves physical requirements such as prolonged standing and walking, occasional crouching and kneeling, lifting over 50 pounds, working at heights using ladders and lifts, and operating forklifts and scissor lifts. Novolex fosters employee growth by offering training, development programs, and tuition reimbursement opportunities, reinforcing the company’s commitment to career advancement and skill enhancement.
Working at Novolex means being part of a company dedicated not only to manufacturing excellence but also to community engagement and sustainability. The company supports local organizations focused on sustainability and hunger relief through its Focused Giving Program and encourages employees to participate in initiatives benefiting their communities. Novolex is also committed to equal employment opportunities and provides accommodations to applicants with disabilities who require assistance during the application process. Formerly known as Pactiv Evergreen, Novolex continues to innovate and lead in the packaging industry while fostering a safe, inclusive, and empowering workplace environment for all its employees.
