The role available is for an Electrical Assistant Project Manager within the construction sector. This position is critical to the management and successful execution of large electrical projects. The Assistant Project Manager will play a pivotal role in overseeing projects from inception through to completion, working closely with senior management and project managers to ensure safety protocols are followed and project milestones are met. This role requires a proactive leader who can develop strong teams for each project, delivering high-quality work that meets or exceeds customer expectations. The Assistant Project Manager is also responsible for driving profitability by executing projects efficiently and effectively.
In this position, you will be accountable for managing technical and scheduling goals, procurement processes, contractual requirements, and personnel assignments. Continuous improvement of department systems and processes is a key responsibility in order to meet customer requirements and surpass profitability targets. You will review contractual obligations and project design methodologies to ensure compliance and quality standards are maintained. Managing project schedules and adapting to shifting priorities based on customer needs and resource availability is essential. Interaction with clients to confirm project expectations and satisfaction before, during, and after project completion is an important part of this role.
The Electrical Assistant Project Manager is also expected to handle financial forecasting and project review processes, maintaining transparency and clear communication about project challenges, risks, and successes. This role demands a high level of initiative, analytical thinking, motivational leadership, and excellent oral and written communication skills to foster collaboration among teams and stakeholders. - helping manage large electrical projects
- be responsible for projects from start to finish
- work with upper management and project managers to ensure job safety and completion
- develop and build strong teams for each project while delivering quality output, meeting customer expectations, managing to scope, delivering on time, and delivering within budget
- drive division profitability through effective project execution
- develop and lead project management technical and schedule goals, procurement and contractual requirements, personnel assignments and capacity planning
- evaluate and continually improve the systems and processes used by the department to effectively meet customer requirements and profitability goals
- review the overall contractual requirements for all projects and specific process design methodology for individual projects as required
- ensure schedule requirements are met for all projects and adjust priorities based on changing customer needs, resource availability, and job requirements
- interact with customers to validate expectations are understood and met before, during and after project completion
- manage project review process with emphasis on financial forecasting
- ensure high-quality engineering, studies, and project delivery
- proactively and systematically communicate challenges, risks and successes
