Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of two years related experience
- Ability to be commissioned as an Idaho Notary Public within six months of hire
- Knowledge of office routines and procedures
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Familiarity with modern databases focusing on data entry
- Competency in operating a personal computer
- Skill in managing multiple phone lines
- Ability to comprehend and follow written and verbal instructions
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent public relations skills with tact and courtesy
- Capability to work well in a team environment
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license
- Must successfully pass a criminal background investigation
- May be required to provide own transportation between county offices and departments
- Available to work 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, with flexibility for evening and weekend work during election times
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds occasionally
- Ability to work in confined spaces and hard-to-reach areas occasionally
- Sufficient mobility and physical reflexes to perform general office duties
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of two years related experience
- Maintenance of Idaho Notary Public Commission, including the ability to be commissioned within six months of hire
- Knowledge of office routines and procedures
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Knowledge of modern databases with a focus on data entry
- Skill in the operation of a personal computer
- Skill in the operation of multiple phone lines
- Ability to understand and follow written and verbal directions
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
- Ability to deal with the public in a tactful and courteous manner
- Ability to maintain effective working relationships and to collaborate on team projects
Job Duties
- Provide front-facing, first-line support to staff and customers
- Greet visitors to the office in-person
- Answer multiple phone lines and redirect to appropriate persons
- Respond to routine questions and refer non-routine questions to appropriate persons
- Perform clerical functions related to the administration of petitions, including receiving, scanning, prepping, and notarizing
- Perform clerical functions related to processing public records requests
- Provide support related to elections volunteers and/or phone bank operations
- Screen calls
- Sort, distribute and respond to email inbox and regular mail
- Perform data entry
- Sort and file documents
- Maintain phone lists
- Maintain and organize the Elections lobby
- Monitor and escort visitors per security requirements
- Perform related duties as required
