Job Description
Elaia Spa, located within the Hyatt at Olive 8, presents a tranquil oasis dedicated to guest well-being and eco-friendly practices. Hyatt Olive 8 is a LEED-certified hotel that values sustainability and environmental responsibility, integrating these principles into the guest experience at Elaia Spa. This award-winning establishment has been recognized as a Great Place to Work in the U.S. for thirteen consecutive years, highlighting its commitment to fostering a supportive culture for its colleagues. Working at Hyatt means joining a team where you can bring your whole self to work and benefit from a culture that empowers employees to defy expectations and continuously strive for excellence.
The Full-Time Spa Attendant at Elaia Spa serves as a vital link between spa treatments and guest amenities, ensuring that every visitor enjoys a serene and impeccably maintained environment. This role is primarily responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation across guest lockers, relaxation areas, and treatment rooms. Spa Attendants oversee the distribution of linens and consistently maintain the toiletries in locker room vanities to enhance the guest experience. By creating an atmosphere infused with calm and relaxation, Spa Attendants significantly contribute to the holistic wellness offered at Elaia.
Additional responsibilities further include deep cleaning of fitness and spa equipment, managing back stock and linen inventory, and routine dusting to uphold the spa's pristine condition. This attention to detail helps Elaia Spa maintain its reputation for unmatched luxury dedicated not only to the well-being of its guests but also in support of the community and environmental sustainability. Employees benefit from a competitive hourly wage starting at $26.40, with increased compensation opportunities for those with longevity, including a rate of $26.93 per hour for colleagues who have been with Hyatt for four years or more. In addition to the hourly wage, Spa Attendants receive a share of the 20% automatic service charge applied to guest services, with 2% allocated to a tip pool shared among Spa Attendants and Reception colleagues.
Joining the Hyatt Olive 8 team as a Spa Attendant means becoming part of a company that values diversity and inclusivity, offering equal employment opportunities regardless of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, protected veteran status, or caste. Employees enjoy a comprehensive benefits package designed to support their health, financial security, and work-life balance. Benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance for employees and their dependents, often available at very affordable rates. Retirement savings plans such as a 401(k) and a Retirement Savings Plan (RSP) are provided, along with basic life insurance and short term disability coverage. Other benefits include paid time off, vacation time that increases with tenure, floating holidays, paid holidays, compassionate leave, jury duty leave, and specific local benefits such as Seattle Paid Sick and Safe Time and Extended Illness Days.
Beyond health and financial security, Hyatt Olive 8 expresses its commitment to employee well-being through perks like an Employee Assistance Program, free uniforms and uniform cleaning, discounted parking, and discounted rooms at any participating Hyatt location, available from the first day of employment. After 90 days of service, employees can take advantage of up to twelve complimentary rooms at participating Hyatt properties worldwide. Employees also receive complimentary meals during shifts, access to the Hyatt Colleague discount program, tuition reimbursement, and an ORCA Pass subsidy to assist with transportation.
This role primarily shifts from 2:15 PM to 10:45 PM, with expectations for flexibility including evenings, weekends, and holidays, ideal for candidates who thrive in dynamic environments and have a genuine passion for guest satisfaction and wellness. At Hyatt, every day presents a chance to make meaningful contributions while growing professionally in a culture that champions respect, inclusivity, and excellence.
