The role of a Shift Supervisor is a pivotal one, designed to nurture leadership qualities essential for advancing to the position of Restaurant Manager. This position requires managing the operational aspects of an assigned shift in a dynamic restaurant setting, including employee supervision, customer service excellence, and financial accountability. The Shift Supervisor is responsible for directing and prioritizing tasks to ensure smooth workflow and high productivity. Job Duties

  • Directs and establishes priorities for the crewmembers during their shift
  • Assigns work stations
  • Coaches, counsels and disciplines crew members

  • Fills in for crewmembers during break periods
  • Accounts for and manages all company funds during the shift
  • Completes safe audits, cash drawer counts, bank deposits, coin and change orders, and shift end balances
  • Completes administrative tasks required on assigned shifts
  • Prepares product orders when necessary
  • Adjusts the number of employees on duty based on anticipated sales volume
  • Orients and trains new crew members
