Job Description
Imperial is a rapidly growing food service company that started as a one-man coffee company based in Tulsa. The company has expanded its operations significantly and now specializes in multiple facets of food and beverage service including traditional vending, micro markets, catering, corporate dining, and coffee services. Imperial's growth and success are primarily driven by its steadfast commitment to providing world-class customer service, fostering strong relationships with clients, and leveraging cutting-edge technology. This dedication ensures that customers receive not just products and services, but a comprehensive experience focusing on their needs and satisfaction. Recognized as a leader in the food service industry, Imperial operates multiple locations across Texas, Missouri, Arkansas, and Oklahoma. The company culture embraces dynamic and innovative leadership, especially valuing hands-on managers who can effectively develop key relationships with both clients and staff.
The Food Service & Retail Dining Manager role at Imperial is a critical leadership position responsible for overseeing the daily operations within multiple corporate dining locations. This role involves managing financials, including profit and loss accounts, inventory controls, hiring, ordering, and training functions. As a manager, the individual will have ownership of the operation and is expected to deliver an exceptional corporate dining experience that aligns with Imperial’s world-class standards. The manager will coordinate all activities related to food storage, production, and service programs while ensuring optimal nutrition and economic handling of food. They will develop menus, oversee purchasing, assign duties for special meals or events, and make regular inspections to guarantee quality, safety, and sanitation compliance across all foodservice activities. This is not only a managerial role but also a hands-on position where leadership by example is emphasized.
Furthermore, the role requires continuously evaluating department performance and implementing improvements to enhance service, workflow efficiency, and regulatory compliance. The manager will work closely with the Area Manager and other departments to address administrative and technical aspects of dining services. Employee management duties include interviewing, evaluating, training, scheduling, and ensuring all staff demonstrate required competencies. This position demands excellent communication skills, both in English and Spanish, given the diverse employee and client base. Candidates must be able to lead well-balanced teams, manage and maintain high standards of food service, and proactively address financial sustainability indicators daily. Benefits include health, dental, life insurance, AFLAC, a 401k plan, vacation, and paid holidays, providing a supportive environment for employees to thrive.
