The role available is aimed at candidates who are eager to grow and develop within the Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) field, with a focus on wastewater treatment (WWT) processes. This position requires a strong understanding of the principles and applications of wastewater treatment and plays a key role in supporting all aspects of the environmental health and safety program within the organization. The candidate will be responsible for supervising and training wastewater treatment operators to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient plant operations, as well as managing maintenance activities to prevent downtime through effective preventive and corrective maintenance plans.
Reporting directly to the site EHS manager, the individual will assist with process engineering matters related to WWT and EHS, maintain accurate records and compliance reports to meet environmental regulations, and ensure proper calibration and maintenance of monitoring equipment. Coordination of maintenance, troubleshooting, safety metric analysis, and management of divisional environmental programs such as hazardous waste, stormwater, air emissions, and chemical management are core to this role. The candidate will also assist in waste handling, review capital projects for EHS concerns, and develop predictive models for future health and welfare projects.
The position further involves managing fire protection systems, collaborating with production teams on EHS impacts due to design or process changes, conducting environmental and safety site evaluations, and organizing drills to maintain readiness for incidents. The candidate will develop and deliver impactful monthly safety training sessions, implement standard operating procedures and emergency response plans, and be accountable for reporting all accidents and safety concerns. Reliable communication skills, the ability to multitask and lead effectively, and proficiency in Microsoft Office and Outlook are necessary. Candidates must be able to work effectively under safety protocols and personal protective equipment requirements and must be ready to respond to after-hours calls from off-shift supervisors.
This position requires compliance with ITAR regulations, meaning applicants must be either U.S. citizens or permanent residents due to export control policies. The role is essential for fostering a clean, safe, and compliant work environment where continuous improvement is a priority. The position offers a competitive compensation range estimated between $78,850 and $131,417, dependent on individual skills, experience, and location-specific differentials. Additional compensation may include bonuses and shift premiums for alternative work schedules. The company offers a comprehensive benefits package starting from the first of the month following the hiring date, including health, dental, vision insurance, 401(k), flexible spending accounts, paid vacation, and holidays. TTM Technologies values diversity and inclusion and ensures equal employment opportunities regardless of race, gender, sexual orientation, or disability status.
