Job Description

We are currently seeking a motivated and energetic individual to join our team as a Food Service Supervisor. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced food operation, contributing to both the management and operational aspects of the business. The role involves assisting with overseeing the location's food business, ensuring consistent delivery of high-quality food items, and supporting the overall guest experience. The Food Service Supervisor will work closely with the Store Manager or Brand Manager, guiding team members on food safety protocols, food preparation, and maintaining presentation standards. In addition, this role requires managing stock levels, food costs, food waste, and sanitation of the food service area.

As a Food Service Supervisor at Fastrac, you will play an essential role in providing leadership to the team, training and coaching staff in food safety and preparation techniques, and maintaining relationships with third-party vendors to ensure compliance with food safety measures. You will be accountable for managing proper stock rotation and ordering while monitoring proper temperatures and holding times for various food items, such as pizza, breakfast sandwiches, coffee, chili, pastries, and more. The position requires maintaining a clean and safe food service environment, meeting food sales goals, and efficiently processing guest transactions with a focus on minimizing wait times.

This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment that values high energy, team orientation, and a passion for serving guests. The position is available as both part-time, up to 29 hours per week, and full-time, ranging from 32 to 40 hours per week, with varied schedules that include day and night shifts, weekends, and holidays depending on store hours. Candidates will enjoy specialized work attire provided by the company, such as hats, visors, and gloves, helping maintain hygiene and safety standards. Physical demands include standing or walking for extended periods, lifting and moving food products of various weights, and performing tasks in cold environments like walk-in coolers. Overall, this role is geared towards individuals who thrive in a fast-moving, guest-focused environment with strong communication and leadership skills.

Job Requirements

  • High school or GED
  • Six months retail or food experience
  • One year preferred in retail, service or restaurant environment
  • Serv Safe certification a plus but not mandatory
  • Comfortable talking and interacting with guests and team members

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Greet all guests in a friendly manner to make them feel welcomed and appreciated
  • Manage food stock levels, food costs and waste, preparation, presentation, and food safety requirements for hot and cold prepared food and beverage items
  • Oversee the food service area’s cleanliness, sanitation (maintaining proper standards adhering to standard food safety protocols) and maintenance of equipment
  • Meet company goals for food sales (i.e. pizza, breakfast sandwiches, coffee etc.)
  • Provide training, feedback, coaching and direction to fellow team members on food preparation and food safety requirements
  • Maintain relationship with third party vendors on food safety measures - monitoring and training on proper temperatures, holding times and waste processes (recordkeeping)
  • Maintain proper stock levels (ordering) and proper rotation of all food product for food sandwich case, sandwich warmers, pizza, chili, condiments and pastry cases, etc.
  • Process guest transactions in an efficient and friendly manner to minimize guest wait time
  • Perform other duties as assigned at the discretion of the Store Manager or Person in Charge in SM's absence
  • Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodations
