The Education Coordinator position at the College of Pharmacy (COP) within UAMS plays a critical role in creating an engaging and supportive student environment. This role focuses on building strong relationships with students, student organizations, alumni, and various stakeholders to enrich the student experience and facilitate professional development. As the main liaison between the Office of Student Services (OSS) and the professional student organizations, the Education Coordinator is tasked with managing activities in compliance with institutional policies, supporting organizational operations, overseeing budgets, and coordinating meaningful events such as orientations, career fairs, and alumni networking sessions.

Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field
- Minimum three years of experience in event planning, event coordination, and/or project management
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and remain organized
- Must have legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment
- Commitment to upholding university policies and confidentiality
- Ability to manage multiple projects and supervise student workers
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field plus three years of experience in event planning, event coordination, and/or project management
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong event-planning, project-coordination, leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to stay organized and work independently
Job Duties
- Serve as the primary liaison between the Office of Student Services and student organizations
- Ensure student activities comply with university policies
- Review requests for meetings, events, speakers, fundraising activities, and promotional materials
- Maintain student organization records, calendars, handbooks, and annual reports
- Share information about events, scholarships, employment, and professional development opportunities
- Promote College of Pharmacy activities and accomplishments through newsletters, social media, and the website
- Plan and coordinate student events, ceremonies, orientations, interviews, career fairs, and other activities
