Job Description

The Pueblo of Sandia is a culturally rich and community-focused establishment that operates several services including food outlets aimed at providing exceptional experiences to its guests. As a tribal entity, it emphasizes integrity, fairness, collaboration, communication, and recognition for outstanding performance. Located in New Mexico, the Pueblo of Sandia blends tradition with modern hospitality to create a welcoming environment for guests and employees alike. The property encompasses dining facilities where the highest standards in customer service and food quality are maintained, ensuring guests feel valued and receive a service that is "Far from Ordinary." The environment is dynamic, fast-paced, and thrives on teamwork, where each member plays a vital role in maintaining operational excellence and guest satisfaction.

This position supports the property's food outlets and is essential in delivering a superior dining experience. Working under general supervision, the role involves flexibility, with the potential to work interchangeably across different functions within the operation as business needs dictate. The primary responsibility is to assist in maintaining the cleanliness, organization, and overall flow of the dining areas to ensure a pleasant atmosphere for patrons. This includes tasks such as bussing tables, assisting servers with beverage service, managing trash disposal, and ensuring all areas are well-stocked and sanitary.

The role is ideal for candidates who enjoy a team-oriented environment and are committed to upholding high standards of personal hygiene and customer service. The individual will participate in daily communication meetings to stay aligned with property goals and performance metrics, including Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) designed to measure success and encourage continual improvement. This position offers a progression path from Busser to Server Support, Server, Supervisor, and eventually Manager, highlighting opportunities for growth within the organization.

The job requires compliance with Tribal, Federal, State, and local regulations regarding food safety and sanitation. New hires are required to complete the New Mexico Food Handlers course and pass background checks and drug screenings. The working conditions include both indoor work and occasional outdoor duties, with exposure to varying temperatures and potential hazards like chemicals and equipment. Overall, this role is vital to maintaining the operational quality and reputation of the Pueblo of Sandia's dining services, making it a rewarding opportunity for those passionate about hospitality and customer service.
