The EC145 Tiger Team Aircraft Maintenance Technician (AMT) role within Air Methods is a critical position responsible for maintaining and supporting the EC145 helicopter fleet. Operating on a demanding 14 on/14 off schedule with a requirement of 10 plus years of heavy avionics experience, the chosen candidate will be part of a specialized two-group team responsible for covering half of the EC145 bases each. In this role, the AMT will focus on ensuring aircraft readiness and reliability through direct support of all aircraft maintenance activities. This includes planning and executing maintenance tasks efficiently to maximize availability while maintaining strict compliance with the General Maintenance Manual (GMM) and company procedures. The position requires a strong commitment to safety, precision in maintenance documentation, and the ability to respond rapidly to Aircraft on Ground (AOG) events. This professional will also be responsible for conducting technical and safety audits, inventory management of aviation parts, and advising pilots on airworthiness issues. The role entails participation in a 24/7 on-call rotation, including nights, weekends, and holidays, demonstrating the flexibility needed in critical aviation maintenance functions.

Additional responsibilities include developing hangar plans for routine base visits, performing VARTOMS system adjustments, track and balance, and supporting heavy maintenance events. The AMT will also contribute by sharing best practices and operational recommendations to improve maintenance efficiency and aircraft longevity, serving as a technical resource within the EC145 fleet maintenance community. This is an essential role that demands advanced skills in electrical troubleshooting, composite repairs, and compliance with AMC parts 145 and 135 standards.
