The establishment prides itself on fostering a family-like atmosphere, encouraging both residents and team members to find a sense of belonging and community. With a commitment to excellence in senior care, Eastmont combines professional standards with personal touches to ensure that every resident feels valued and cared for.
Eastmont is currently seeking part-time Wait Staff to join their dedicated team. This role plays a vital part in enhancing the dining experience for residents by serving food and beverages with a friendly and professional demeanor. The position offers a competitive wage of $15.50 per hour, reflecting the importance of the job in delivering quality service within the community setting.
In this role, team members will engage directly with senior adults and their families, creating meaningful interactions and contributing to a positive living environment. Beyond simply serving meals, the Wait Staff is responsible for maintaining a clean and orderly dining area by bussing tables, resetting them, and completing daily cleaning tasks. They must adhere strictly to federal and state health regulations, ensuring that food is served at proper temperatures and that all food safety standards are met. Additionally, those in this position may have the opportunity to assist in training new or current staff, promoting teamwork and continuous improvement within the department.
Successful candidates will possess excellent communication skills and be proficient in reading, writing, and taking menu orders in English. They must demonstrate a strong desire to work with senior adults and exhibit interpersonal skills suitable for a team environment. Reliability, honesty, and confidentiality are paramount, especially when handling sensitive resident information. Physical capabilities such as frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, grasping, and the ability to lift up to 25 pounds are also required to effectively perform job duties. Candidates must be at least 16 years old and willing to complete a Food Prep Safe Course provided by Eastmont.
Eastmont values personal and professional growth, encouraging team members to participate in ongoing training, in-services, and meetings. Employees are expected to uphold the mission, vision, and values of Transforming Age, contributing to a culture of excellence that aligns with the organization’s strategic goals.
