Job Description
The Kalispel Tribe of Indians is a recognized Native American tribe with a commitment to honoring its heritage while fostering economic development and community wellbeing. Among its various ventures, the Kalispel Tribe operates Northern Quest Resort and Casino, a premier destination in Washington State that offers a dynamic hospitality and entertainment experience. The resort combines exceptional gaming, dining, and hospitality services with a vibrant cultural ambiance. It is dedicated to providing an inclusive and welcoming environment for its customers and creating rewarding careers for its employees.\n\nWithin this thriving hospitality hub, the role of a Server is vital to ensuring the delivery of outstanding food and beverage services that enhance guest satisfaction and contribute to the overall casino experience. This position is primarily focused on assisting beverage ambassadors in efficiently delivering drink orders, greeting guests warmly, and participating in creating a legendary food and beverage experience across various sections of the establishment. The Server position at Northern Quest involves working in restaurant venues as well as in casino areas including table games, slots, and the Poker Room, requiring an adaptable and guest-focused approach.\n\nServers at Northern Quest are entrusted with maintaining compliance with the Kalispel Tribe of Indians' internal controls and Northern Quest's policies and procedures, ensuring that every service interaction is professional, friendly, and attentive. They are expected to greet guests consistently with a smile and eye contact, offer knowledgeable answers about alcoholic beverages and menus, and promote a positive gaming and dining atmosphere. The role demands excellent communication with casino floor bartenders and an ability to act as a liaison between guests and the beverage service team.\n\nCandidates are expected to demonstrate urgency and efficiency in service, minimize wait times, and maintain productivity and cleanliness throughout their work area. Attention to detail extends to compliance with liquor laws, responsible alcohol service under the MAST certification guidelines, and adherence to food handling regulations. Servers complete all required paperwork, maintain confidential records of tips, and participate in ongoing training sessions to uphold the highest standards of service quality.\n\nThis full-time role requires flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, and an ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team. Physical stamina is essential due to the demands of standing and walking for extended periods and occasionally lifting up to 70 pounds. Northern Quest provides a dynamic and moderately noisy environment typical of a casino setting, where employees have the opportunity to engage with a diverse clientele and be part of a reputable team committed to guest satisfaction and community values.
