The Catering Sales Manager plays a pivotal role in driving the hotel’s catering revenue by strategically soliciting new business opportunities, managing client relationships, coordinating the successful execution of catered events, and collaborating closely with the sales team to maximize both sales results and guest satisfaction.
As a Catering Sales Manager at Stonebridge, the successful candidate will leverage their expertise in sales strategies and catering operations to plan and supervise a variety of catered functions. They will maintain an organized account filing system, prepare monthly revenue forecasts and reports, and build lasting relationships with clients, group leaders, meeting planners, and community organizations. The role also requires attendance and oversight of catered events to ensure all hotel obligations are met and client expectations exceeded. A key focus of the position is to engage in proactive solicitation calls and lead follow-ups, utilizing knowledge of market trends and competitor activities to develop innovative sales and marketing techniques that support sustainable revenue growth. This role demands excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills, the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively, and proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office for account management and reporting.
The work environment for this role is primarily indoor office-based, with occasional travel required for client meetings and event supervision. Flexibility is essential as the Catering Sales Manager must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays to accommodate event schedules and client needs. The company offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, paid time off, 401(k) matching, wellness support, life and disability coverage, savings accounts, tuition aid, and travel and lodging perks.
