Job Description
Wilmington Market is proud to present an exciting leadership opportunity within McKibbon Hospitality, a well-known and respected hospitality company that operates hotels with a strong commitment to quality service and operational excellence. McKibbon Hospitality encompasses a family of properties including the Tru by Hilton and Tapestry collections, embodying a dedication to guest satisfaction, ethical leadership, and community involvement. The company fosters a supportive and career-focused environment where professional growth and advancement are paramount. With McKibbon's guiding principles centered around thinking bigger, loving the community, doing the right thing, supporting each other, and making lasting impressions, it is a leader in hospitality operations and guest-centered service.
This position is for the Dual Hotel General Manager responsible for managing two hotel properties simultaneously under the Tru by Hilton and Tapestry brands. This role is a hands-on leadership opportunity that demands expertise in overseeing total hotel operations, optimizing financial performance, and maintaining superior guest experiences across both properties. Reporting directly to the Regional Vice President of Operations, the General Manager will provide strategic direction, enforce brand standards, and implement McKibbon’s operational procedures to drive profitability and team engagement. The role offers competitive compensation and benefits, emphasizing a collaborative and dynamic work environment. It is ideal for a seasoned hospitality professional eager to lead multiple properties while enhancing the guest experience and achieving operational goals.
The Dual Hotel General Manager will oversee all aspects of both hotels, including guest satisfaction, maintenance, housekeeping, budgeting, sales, labor management, and associate engagement. This role requires mentoring and managing a diverse team to deliver exceptional service and achieve high associate retention. The General Manager will ensure staffing adequacy, coordinate training programs, and foster a service-oriented culture that aligns with the hotel's brand and the company’s values. Administrative and financial oversight are key responsibilities, including accurate reporting, cash management, payroll, forecasting, and budgeting. The manager will also maintain compliance with local and state laws, uphold safety and security standards, and spearhead initiatives to boost service quality based on guest feedback.
Collaboration is essential in this role, with the General Manager working closely with corporate teams across Human Resources, Accounting, Revenue Management, and Sales to meet shared goals. The role positions the manager as both a leader within the hotels and an active figure in the local community, representing the hotel's commitment to its guests and neighbors. Additional responsibilities include conducting hiring and onboarding, providing performance feedback, managing schedules, documenting incidents, and responding to emergencies. Through data analysis and market monitoring, the General Manager will develop pricing strategies, promotional packages, and revenue initiatives to maintain competitive positioning in the hospitality market. This comprehensive leadership role is perfect for someone with strong financial acumen, organizational skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while fostering a positive, inclusive workplace culture.
