Job Description

The Dual Group Sales Manager position is a crucial role within the hospitality industry, specifically focusing on three Select Service hotels in the Atlanta market, including Aloft Savannah Downtown and The Fairfield Inn & Suites Savannah Downtown. The hiring establishment is part of the highly recognized and growing Peregrine Hospitality Group, which specializes in managing a collection of branded hotels across various markets with a commitment to delivering excellent guest experiences and strong financial performance. The employment type is full-time, and the role demands a dedicated sales professional who can manage multiple hotel accounts effectively in a competitive market.

This role requires the manager to actively identify, develop, and nurture target accounts while maintaining strong client relationships to meet or exceed individual sales goals, including revenue, Average Daily Rate (ADR), and group business metrics. As Dual Group Sales Manager, you will be responsible for driving sales initiatives such as outside calls, attending trade shows, and conducting site visits to maximize market penetration and business opportunities. A proactive approach in exploring new business prospects alongside managing existing accounts is vital to success in this position.

The role is designed for a strategic leader with excellent communication skills who can influence and collaborate with various stakeholders, including Group Sales Organizations (GSOs), clients, and team members. Ensuring that sales efforts align with the overall financial goals of the hotels is essential. The candidate will plan and execute familiarization tours, customer events, and site inspections, maintaining clear communication with the event management team and supporting the operational aspects of bookings.

Moreover, the manager will be expected to address and resolve any guest-related issues arising during the sales process while adhering to brand standards and safety protocols. The position requires flexibility in working hours to accommodate market demands and client needs. It offers a dynamic working environment for a sales expert passionate about hospitality, relationship building, and delivering consistent results in a multi-property setting within the competitive Atlanta hospitality market.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • minimum 5 years of sales experience in an area or market role preferably with Marriott and Hilton brand knowledge
  • ability to work flexible scheduled shifts based on business needs
  • must be able to lift and/or carry up to 50 pounds frequently
  • ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
  • ability to bend and twist, push and pull, stoop, and kneel

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience

Job Duties

  • Exceed established monthly, quarterly, and annual targeted sales goals
  • maintain an active list of target accounts to ensure continuous relationship development
  • establish new client relationships and maintain existing relationships to maximize revenue
  • actively solicit new business opportunities through prospecting target client lists
  • seek methods to penetrate key business activities within the market and find profitable ways to bring this business to the hotel
  • respond in a timely manner to incoming group sales opportunities that are within pre-defined parameters
  • work collaboratively with other sales channels to ensure sales efforts are coordinated, complementary, and not duplicative
  • capture and close the best opportunities for the property based on market conditions, the property's needs, and within the hotel parameters
  • coordinate and plan all familiarization tours, in-market customer events, and site inspections ensuring thorough communication with Event Management and effective data collection
  • execute and support operational aspects of business booked, transferring accurate, complete, and timely information to the Events department in accordance with standards
  • effectively resolve guest issues arising from the sales process and bring issues to leadership attention as appropriate
  • maintain knowledge of and comply with departmental policies, service procedures, 4 Keys service standards, brand guidelines, and safety and security procedures
  • perform all additional duties as assigned by management
