Job Description
PAH Management is a Dallas-based hotel ownership and management company that operates 11 select-service properties across five states. These properties fall under prestigious brands such as Marriott, Hilton, and Hyatt, reflecting the company's commitment to quality and excellence in the hospitality industry. PAH Management distinguishes itself by owning and operating its assets, meaning the General Managers (GMs) have real authority, accountability, and a direct line to leadership. This unique structure empowers GMs to make impactful decisions that benefit both the properties and guests alike. The company's motto, Taking GOOD to G.R.E.A.T., embodies its dedication to elevating the guest experience, fostering team development, and driving operational success.
The opportunity at hand is a dual-property General Manager role overseeing two co-located Marriott brands in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. This position requires a highly capable leader who will serve as the on-site executive managing both properties simultaneously. The role focuses on driving profitability, enhancing guest satisfaction, and fostering the growth and development of the hotel teams, all while ensuring strict adherence to brand standards for both Marriott properties. Reporting directly to the Director of Operations, this role is highly visible within PAH's corporate leadership and offers the chance to contribute to the company's broader strategic goals. The General Manager will oversee daily operations, financial performance, sales efforts, and human resources across the two properties, making it a dynamic and multifaceted leadership opportunity.
The General Manager is expected to lead day-to-day operations, ensuring that cleanliness, service quality, and brand standards are consistently met. They will conduct regular inspections of guest rooms and public areas in collaboration with department heads, manage staff meetings and training sessions aligned with PAH's standards, and oversee preventive maintenance programs. Financial accountability is a critical aspect of this role, with responsibilities including revenue generation, cost control, forecasting, budgeting, and timely submission of financial documents. The General Manager will engage actively in sales and revenue activities, including client interactions and conversion of prospective clients.
Leadership extends beyond operations and finances to people management. This role demands recruiting, hiring, and nurturing a high-performing management team committed to PAH's values. The Manager will provide coaching, accountability, training, and career development opportunities for team members while ensuring fair and equitable treatment of all associates. Maintaining compliance with brand standards and completing required brand certifications are integral parts of the position, underscoring the importance of upholding Marriott's reputation within the local market.
This role offers competitive compensation including a base salary, performance-based bonuses, and comprehensive benefits such as health, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, and hotel discounts across PAH’s affiliated brands. It presents a career-defining chance for seasoned hotel professionals who are ready to lead multi-property operations, drive business success, and make a lasting impact within a well-established hospitality company committed to growth and excellence.
