Job Requirements

  • At least 6 years of progressive experience in hotel management or related field
  • or a 4-year college degree with 4-5 years of relevant experience
  • or a 2-year college degree with 5-6 years of related experience
  • proficiency in Windows operating systems
  • proficiency in company-approved spreadsheets and word processing software
  • valid driver's license in the applicable state
  • ability to work a 50-hour work week with occasional extended hours
  • ability to exert light physical effort up to 20 pounds occasionally
  • strong decision-making skills and ability to work under pressure
  • effective problem-solving skills
  • ability to communicate information clearly and effectively
  • ability to manage stress and maintain composure
  • proficiency in financial data analysis and basic arithmetic
  • valid driver's license

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Interact with guests and staff in a friendly, courteous, and service-oriented manner
  • maintain regular attendance in compliance with company standards, with flexible schedules based on hotel needs
  • adhere to grooming standards and dress code, wearing name tags as per brand guidelines
  • ensure adherence to operational standards to maintain safe and efficient hotel operations
  • ensure compliance with certification requirements such as Food Handlers, Alcohol Awareness, and CPR/First Aid
  • collaborate with the Director of Sales on prospecting, sales calls, and business opportunities
  • actively participate in hotel sales, including meeting with key clients, hosting events, and cultivating relationships
  • regularly tour hotel departments and adjust operations through department heads
  • conduct weekly staff meetings and training sessions focusing on effective techniques
  • meet all financial deadlines and corporate program requirements
  • hold monthly financial reviews with managers and supervisors
  • ensure department heads follow budgeted productivity and accounting procedures
  • provide leadership and development opportunities for managers
  • participate in Manager on Duty coverage
  • support management trainees' development
  • ensure service standards training across departments
  • foster positive, guest-focused, team-oriented work environment
  • conduct regular room inspections with Housekeeping Manager and Property Engineer
  • process daily invoices using AP system
  • oversee financial reporting accuracy and timeliness
  • maintain property cleanliness, safety and maintenance
  • ensure attentive, courteous, and efficient guest interactions
  • prepare monthly financial forecasts
  • conduct interviews for management positions
  • administer performance appraisals for managers
  • coach and discipline management staff per disciplinary procedures
  • maintain open communication with managers and employees
  • ensure fair and equitable treatment of employees
