Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution or equivalent industry experience
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in hotel sales preferably in a leadership role
- Strong understanding of sales strategies revenue management and marketing initiatives
- Proven ability to lead and manage a sales team with experience in hiring training and performance evaluations
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills with budgeting and forecasting experience
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients local business leaders and team members

- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills including budgeting and forecasting experience
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, local business leaders, and team members
Job Duties
- Conduct weekly sales and staff meetings and prepare reports such as sales call reports and market share analysis
- Work cohesively with the sales department to book group business by responding promptly to leads via online networks, cold calling, and visiting local businesses
- Manage workflow through the Sales Pro system, ensuring proper response and data filing according to company and brand standards
- Participate and represent the hotel in promotional events, trade shows, community and industry events
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, competitor strategies, and growth opportunities
- Assist with setting sales strategies to achieve property goals for rate and occupancy
- Develop sales goals and strategies aligned with brand business strategy
- Understand hotel operations including room types, meeting capacities, services, features and benefits
- Review monthly STAR reports and create action plans
- Communicate with Revenue Management and General Manager to ensure appropriate pricing and adjust selling strategies
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless coordination and excellent guest experiences
- Provide updates to general manager and executive team on sales performance and initiatives
- Conduct all sales department performance appraisals on time
- Organize, prioritize, and follow up with urgency
- Exceed revenue goals by offering innovative market alternatives
- Maintain regular attendance and punctuality
- Maintain high standards of personal appearance and compliance with dress code
- Perform other duties as assigned by the General Manager
