The hotel is strategically located at 11 S La Salle St, Chicago, Illinois, providing guests easy access to the city's bustling downtown area, Magnificent Mile shopping district, and other notable attractions. As part of the Marriott International family, Residence Inn embraces a rich culture of teamwork, legendary service, and a commitment to creating memorable guest experiences. It is an environment where employees are supported, valued, and encouraged to grow personally and professionally within a global hospitality leader.
This full-time management position within the Sales and Marketing department plays a critical role in partnership with the Sales Office to book group events and maximize revenue for the property. The Sales Coordinator ensures that business booked through the Sales Office is properly turned over to provide seamless service delivery to clients. Additionally, the position supports the implementation of the brand's service strategy and initiatives, fostering customer loyalty by delivering excellence throughout each customer interaction. This role operates on-site at the Residence Inn Chicago Downtown and offers competitive pay ranging from $36.06 to $48.08 per hour, with bonus eligibility.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales, marketing, guest services, or front desk operations, combined with experience or education in business administration, hospitality, or related fields. They will effectively manage sales activities, including lead qualification, event coordination, and proactive selling of hotel facilities such as spa, golf, and dining options. This position also requires excellent relationship-building skills, as the candidate will engage with customers, internal sales teams, and community organizations to drive business growth and enhance guest satisfaction.
Responsibilities extend to handling event planning details, arranging site visits for out-of-market and onsite sales managers, and monitoring service standards and customer feedback. Serving as a personal concierge during site visits, the Sales Coordinator ensures clients receive outstanding, personalized service and optimal experiences on the property. The role further involves tracking bookings, managing budgets, strategically positioning the property against competitors, and aligning sales efforts with broader market trends and property goals.

This job is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who are passionate about sales, event planning, and enhancing guest experiences within a dynamic hotel environment, while also engaging with a well-respected global brand. Joining Residence Inn means belonging to a supportive team where you can do your best work, begin your purpose, and become the best version of yourself in the hospitality industry.
