Employees will take on varied responsibilities that involve maintaining a clean, orderly, and inviting store environment, processing sales transactions accurately, and assisting customers with product inquiries and purchases. This role combines traditional retail duties with digital capabilities, as associates are expected to utilize company tools, including registers, iPhones, and other devices, to facilitate seamless customer interactions both in-store and online. The store associates play a critical role in representing DSW's value of "We Do What’s Right," ensuring honesty and integrity are at the forefront of every customer interaction.
Beyond routine sales tasks, associates help organize merchandise, manage inventory through receiving and stocking duties, and contribute to marketing efforts by promoting the DSW Loyalty program, enrolling new members, and ensuring customers understand the benefits of membership. The position also demands attentiveness to safety and asset protection procedures to safeguard the store’s assets and create a secure shopping environment.
