Job Description

Ruan is a respected logistics and transportation company with over 90 years of service, known for its commitment to safety, innovation, and people-first culture. As a leader in the trucking industry, Ruan offers a wide range of transportation services across the United States. The company prides itself on providing stable employment and competitive benefits to its dedicated team of drivers and employees. Established with a view toward long-term success and employee satisfaction, Ruan emphasizes a safety-focused work environment and the importance of supporting its workforce through comprehensive benefits and ongoing development opportunities.

Ruan is currently seeking Class A CDL drivers to join their team based in San Antonio, TX. These drivers will play a crucial role in hauling bread products in dry van trailers for a dedicated customer, Flowers. This position is a fantastic opportunity for experienced truck drivers who desire a local hauling job with consistent weekly earnings and a predictable schedule that supports work-life balance.

The position offers a competitive pay rate of $28 per hour straight time, with an average weekly earning of approximately $1,400. Drivers are paid weekly, which provides financial stability and reliability. The work schedule is designed to promote a good quality of life, with drivers returning home daily and enjoying days off on Thursdays and Fridays. Shift start times vary between 12 PM to 4 PM during weekdays, while Saturdays include yard spotting shifts that run from 4 PM to 4 AM, lasting approximately 10 to 12 hours. This schedule seeks drivers with flexible availability and a commitment to meeting delivery demands efficiently.

In this role, drivers will haul dry van trailers loaded with bread and are expected to use hand trucks to unload the bread upon delivery. The job requires attention to safety and the ability to work within a team-oriented, customer-focused environment.

Ruan demonstrates its dedication to its employees by offering an extensive benefits package that includes health, vision, dental, life, and disability insurance. Prescription drug coverage is also provided to support employees' health needs. The company values work-life balance, evident in its paid time off, earned vacation, and holiday pay benefits. Additionally, Ruan supports employees' financial futures through a 401(k) matching program. This robust benefits package reflects Ruan's commitment to its workforce and reinforces the company's philosophy of putting people first while maintaining a strong safety culture.

Candidates interested in joining Ruan must meet minimum requirements such as being at least 22 years old, having no more than three moving violations in the past three years, and no more than one DOT recordable preventable accident in the last three years. Applicants must also have at least nine months of tractor-trailer experience within the past three years and must be able to read, speak, and understand English sufficiently to interact with the public and comply with job responsibilities. Furthermore, due to federal regulations, applicants must create a profile in the Department of Transportation's Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse before hiring.

Overall, this role at Ruan offers a stable, well-compensated driving opportunity for Class A CDL drivers who value a predictable schedule, excellent benefits, and a respected employer committed to driver safety and satisfaction.
