This company prides itself on fostering strong relationships with contractors and clients alike, offering a platform that supports independent operators with competitive compensation and supportive operational frameworks. Based in Waukesha, WI, this opportunity is designed for those seeking independent contractor roles in the delivery domain with a focus on local routes and home daily returns.
This particular position is for Non-CDL Independent Contractors equipped with a 26-foot box truck with a liftgate, designed to handle appliance deliveries and installations. Contractors will work as Owner Operator or Independent Service Provider Driving Teams specializing in the timely delivery and basic setup of household appliances such as refrigerators, microwave ovens, dishwashers, washers, dryers, and other related items. This role offers a gross earning potential of up to $4,000 per week per truck, reflecting a substantial income opportunity for contractors who maintain a dedicated schedule and service quality.
The role necessitates owning, renting, or leasing an appropriate vehicle (26-foot box truck with a liftgate) and ideally working with a driver helper to facilitate the efficient movement and installation of appliances. Candidates must uphold a professional standard by possessing a functional personal toolset and a valid driver's license with a commendable driving record. Additionally, contractors must hold or be willing to acquire an active MC Operating Authority and DOT number with the FMCSA, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and operational legitimacy. The job is well-suited to professionals who possess appliance installation experience or those enthusiastic about learning and developing skills within this trade.
Beyond the technical requirements, Hub Group Final Mile emphasizes punctuality, safety, and customer satisfaction. The contractor teams are responsible for the accurate and careful handling of deliveries, employing appropriate equipment and techniques to navigate and install appliances following manufacturer guidelines. The position requires a collaborative approach, often involving a two-person team to meet the demands of appliance handling and installation. Payment terms include weekly settlements and direct deposit, and contractors benefit from online access to settlements, making financial management straightforward and transparent. This opportunity combines the independence of contracting with the backing of a reputable logistics company, providing flexible work schedules coupled with rewarding financial prospects and an engaging role in the appliance delivery sector.
