Job Description
Hub Group Final Mile is a premier logistics and transportation company specializing in final mile delivery services. As part of the Hub Group family, they provide reliable and efficient solutions tailored to meet the needs of modern-day supply chains, focusing largely on last-mile delivery for various consumer goods, including large appliances. With years of industry experience and an established network, Hub Group Final Mile prides itself on its commitment to customer satisfaction, operational excellence, and technological innovation in the delivery sector. Their reputation as a trustworthy partner makes them a preferred choice for businesses seeking dependable delivery services that prioritize timeliness and care in handling goods.
This opportunity is for an Owner Operator or Independent Service Provider driving team based in Waukesha, WI, specifically tailored for non-CDL contractors with 26-foot box trucks equipped with lift gates. The role primarily involves the delivery and basic installation of home appliances such as refrigerators, microwave ovens, dishwashers, washers, dryers, and other household equipment. This position offers home-daily routes and a competitive gross earning potential of up to $4,000 per week per truck. The contractor teams must either own, rent, or lease a 26-foot box truck with a lift gate and ideally provide their own driver helper to assist with deliveries.
This is an independent contractor position, providing flexibility and autonomy for operators who prefer to manage their own schedules while being part of a reputable and well-established logistics operation. Contractors receive weekly settlements via direct deposit, with convenient access to online platforms for settlement tracking. The position rewards professionalism and expertise, requiring individuals who either have professional experience as appliance installers or are willing to learn the trade to maintain high standards of quality and customer satisfaction.
The role also demands a reliable and responsible approach, as contractors must maintain a valid driver's license with a good driving record and possess an active MC Operating Authority as well as DOT registration with the FMCSA, or be willing to obtain these credentials. This ensures compliance with industry regulations and promotes the safe, legal operation of commercial vehicles on local delivery routes. Additionally, owning a personal set of tools is essential since basic installation work will be performed at delivery sites.
In summary, this position is ideal for motivated, professional contractors seeking to grow their own business within a thriving logistics firm. Hub Group Final Mile supports its contractors with competitive pay, consistent local routes, and the flexibility to work independently while making meaningful contributions to the company's delivery excellence. If you are equipped with the necessary truck and tools, have or can acquire the required permits, and possess or are willing to develop installation skills, this opportunity offers a rewarding path to success in the appliance delivery and installation field.
