The Utility Driver role is a critical position within the Meals on Wheels program, responsible for the timely and safe delivery of food products to clients. This full-time position pays $18.00 per hour and entails operating agency vehicles up to 30 feet in length, overseeing the proper storage of products in the warehouse, and assisting in meal deliveries when necessary due to business activity or driver shortages. The Utility Driver supports the Meals on Wheels management team by maintaining an orderly and clean warehouse environment and is responsible for handling various warehouse equipment such as manual and electric pallet jacks and pallet scales. This role demands a high level of safety awareness, excellent customer service, and strong organizational skills. The Utility Driver must be flexible, capable of multitasking under time-sensitive deadlines, and able to work autonomously with sound judgment. The position includes physical requirements ranging from lifting heavy loads up to 55 pounds to navigating diverse working conditions, including hot or cold warehouse environments and outdoor settings.
