Job Description

Summit Stairs & Millwork is a reputable company specializing in the production of high-quality stairs and millwork products. As part of the MBP Group—a family of building product brands including Marwin, HB&G Building Products, Millwork 360, and SS Industries (SSI)—Summit Stairs & Millwork supports residential and commercial construction projects nationwide. The company prides itself on craftsmanship, hard work, and a dedication to excellence that permeates every level of the organization, from the production floor to the front office. This commitment helps ensure that customers receive top-tier service and superior products that meet their construction needs. Summit Stairs & Millwork fosters a collaborative and inclusive workplace culture, emphasizing the value of each employee’s contribution and creating opportunities for growth and leadership within the company.

The role of Driver/Loader at Summit Stairs & Millwork is a crucial position that directly impacts customer satisfaction and operational efficiency. The Driver is responsible for the safe and timely delivery of stairs and millwork products to customers, operating box trucks up to 20 feet in length and ensuring compliance with all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. This position requires not only driving skills but also the ability to load and unload materials carefully, verify shipping contents, and maintain accurate documentation. The Driver/Loader reports to the Shipping Manager and plays a vital role in representing the company on the road, building strong customer relationships through professionalism and reliability.

In addition to driving responsibilities, the role involves loading and unloading materials, verifying shipment contents against work orders and tickets, and promptly reporting any overages, shortages, or damages. The Driver/Loader must conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, retain gas receipts for monthly audits, and submit proof-of-delivery photos to ensure accuracy and transparency in the delivery process. Communication skills are essential for promptly addressing customer concerns or any delivery issues that may arise.

This full-time position follows a Monday through Friday schedule with occasional overtime, perfect for individuals who value a consistent work routine and are committed to safety and efficiency. The ideal candidate will have a valid driver’s license with a clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR), a reliable attendance record, and the physical ability to handle heavy materials with team assistance. Familiarity with dock equipment such as ramps, pallet jacks, and hand trucks is also important for successful job performance. The role requires strong depth perception and vision for safe driving and delivery, as well as a personal cell phone with GPS for navigation.

Summit Stairs & Millwork is dedicated to building more than just products—they are building a team where every member's work matters and contributes to the bigger picture. They embrace diversity and inclusivity in the workplace and offer a supportive environment where employees can develop their skills and careers. Those who take pride in their work, value safety, and seek to deliver excellence in every mile are encouraged to explore this rewarding opportunity with Summit Stairs & Millwork.
