Driver Trainee

This position is designed to groom candidates into becoming licensed CDL drivers within the Core-Mark team. The role begins as a trainee helper, assisting the current drivers during delivery routes for food and foodservice products. Trainees will participate in a comprehensive learning program that includes hands-on experience alongside experienced drivers, attendance at trucking school, and subsequent paid driver training, culminating in obtaining a CDL license. As a driver trainee, your responsibilities will include assisting with product deliveries while learning the operational and safety standards required for commercial driving. You will assist with loading, unloading, and placing products, as well as handling documentation and customer communications professionally and efficiently. Working on overnight shifts from Monday to Friday, you will benefit from a structured schedule with weekends off, competitive starting pay of $20 per hour, overtime opportunities, and a commitment to 40 or more hours per week depending on operational needs.
