The company’s long-standing reputation is built on a foundation of reliability, safety, and innovation. With a nationwide network and strong client partnerships, McLane continues to deliver products efficiently, ensuring their clients receive the highest level of service. The company's commitment to technological advancement and team member training drives its ability to stay agile and responsive in a fast-evolving market.
The Driver, Trainee Component position at McLane offers ambitious CDL-A drivers the opportunity to launch and grow their careers within a stable, supportive environment. This role is designed for individuals who are eager to learn the essentials of professional driving and product distribution, while also gaining hands-on exposure to warehouse operations and other logistics functions. As a Trainee Component Driver, you will be joining a team that values safety, reliability, and dedication, helping to move America’s favorite brands from McLane to a wide range of customer locations.
This trainee role is an integral step towards becoming a fully qualified McLane Driver. You will train alongside experienced Driver Trainers, learning critical skills such as maneuvering tractor-trailers, inspecting equipment for safety, adhering to all state, local, and federal regulations, and mastering the use of technology like Driver Delivery Handhelds and PeopleNet devices. In addition to on-road training, you will assist in unloading trailers, managing product deliveries, and providing excellent customer service to ensure timely and accurate product receipt. Your development will be supported by McLane’s strong safety culture and commitment to team member success, offering industry-leading pay, comprehensive benefits, and a pathway to frequent home time.
At McLane, drivers are not just operators of vehicles, but vital team members who contribute to the company’s enduring success. You’ll find that the company invests deeply in employee well-being with day one benefits, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid holidays, vacation and sick leave accrual, and a 401(k) profit sharing plan after just 90 days. Additional perks such as pet insurance, maternity/paternity leave, employee assistance programs, and tuition reimbursement further enhance your career journey. This comprehensive benefits package, combined with the security of a 130+ year industry leader, makes McLane an excellent place to build a long-lasting career in commercial driving.
If you are safety-focused, reliable, adaptable, and dedicated, McLane invites you to join their team and take your CDL-A career further. This position requires a valid Class A CDL and a commitment to performing job duties safely and efficiently while delivering outstanding service to customers. McLane fosters a supportive, inclusive work environment that promotes diversity and equal opportunity, ensuring that all candidates receive fair consideration. As part of the McLane team, you will be moving America forward – together with a company that values your contributions and invests in your growth.
