McLane is currently looking for Driver Trainee Component team members who are passionate about developing their careers in commercial driving. This role is designed for individuals holding a Class A CDL who are interested in learning the essential functions of a professional driver while gaining hands-on experience in warehouse and operational duties. The Driver Trainee will work closely with experienced Driver Trainers, gaining knowledge of safe driving practices, proper vehicle handling, and compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations. The Driver Trainee Component position offers a competitive pay rate of $26.00 per hour during training, with earning potential increasing to $75,000 to $80,000 annually after successful completion of training. Trainees will be expected to use modern tools such as PeopleNet devices and a Driver Delivery Handheld (DDH) for documenting deliveries and maintaining logs according to Department of Transportation regulations.
