The Driver, Trainee Component position at McLane is an entry-level role that offers a comprehensive pathway to becoming a fully qualified McLane driver. This position combines hands-on training with real-world experience, helping trainees learn essential commercial driving functions. Trainee drivers are exposed to both driving and warehouse operations, gaining vital knowledge about product distribution and customer service. Under the guidance of experienced Driver Trainers, the trainee will develop skills in maneuvering tractor-trailers, ensuring safety compliance, and managing product deliveries efficiently. This role is designed to provide a strong foundation for CDL-A drivers seeking career advancement through structured support and competitive pay.

McLane offers industry-leading compensation and a variety of benefits to support the well-being and growth of its drivers. The pay range during training ranges from $70,000 to $85,000, increasing to $80,000 to $95,000 after successful completion of training. Drivers work approximately four nights a week and receive comprehensive day-one benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance, along with company-paid life insurance.
