This role involves safely and efficiently transporting products from the warehouse to various customer locations using a tractor trailer. Drivers are responsible for delivering and unloading products according to customer invoices and company standards, adhering to strict safety and food handling protocols. Our delivery drivers typically run 2-4 routes per week and enjoy a substantial earning potential, averaging between $95,000 and $110,000 annually. New drivers can earn up to $95,000 in their first year, with top performers reaching up to $130,000. The work schedule generally operates with evening dispatches from Sunday through Friday, with most routes not exceeding 24 hours on the road. Beyond just delivering products, delivery drivers play a vital role in maintaining food safety by ensuring proper temperature control, inspecting products for damage, and preventing contamination during storage and transport. Drivers also manage paperwork meticulously, including DOT logs, inspections, vehicle maintenance reports, and invoicing. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • one year tractor trailer driving experience preferred
  • completion of tractor trailer driving school acceptable alternative
  • valid Class A Commercial Driver's License
  • ability to read and speak English
  • insurable to operate company vehicle
  • ability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 pounds and handling hand cart loads
  • ability to work overnight schedules including weekends and holidays
  • commitment to safety protocols
  • regular attendance
  • passing company required background and drug screenings

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED or equivalent degree
  • one year tractor trailer driving experience preferred
  • completion of tractor trailer driving school acceptable in lieu of high school diploma
  • ability to read, write, and speak English sufficiently to converse and understand traffic signs
  • valid Class A Commercial Driver's License
  • insurability to operate company vehicles
  • knowledge of DOT regulations and Hazmat guidelines
  • skill in driving long distances and solving problems
  • ability to operate tractor trailer, straight truck, on-board computer, and hand cart
  • ability to meet or exceed company productivity standards
  • ability to perform basic math

Job Duties

  • Safely transports product from warehouse to customer location according to assigned route
  • unloads product by hand or using a hand cart down ramps, stairs, or docks
  • picks up, loads, and unloads damaged goods and customer returns and transports products back to warehouse
  • completes all required paperwork according to company and governmental guidelines including DOT logs, inspections, and maintenance reports
  • ensures all food safety protocols are met and maintains sanitary conditions in tractor, trailer, and warehouse
  • develops and maintains good relationships with customers by providing courteous service and clear communication
  • communicates with management regarding any route, trailer, loading, customer, or product issues
  • safely transports backhauls and line hauls ensuring timely delivery
  • works assigned schedule and exhibits regular attendance
  • performs other duties as assigned by management
