The current opportunity is for a CDL Class A Driver - Shuttle position based out of the Sacramento, CA plant specializing in acetylene production and filling. This role is essential to the smooth and safe delivery of compressed gas cylinders to local and regional business customers. The role offers a consistent Monday through Friday schedule with minimal overtime, featuring a 40-45 hour workweek that promotes work-life balance and quality family time. Compensation is competitive, ranging from $28 to $30 per hour depending on experience, and includes a $3000 sign-on bonus.

In this position, the driver is responsible for utilizing company-provided tractor trailers, straight trucks, or box trucks to deliver compressed gas cylinders safely and efficiently. The job is physically active, requiring loading, unloading, and securing gas cylinders and supplies. Drivers frequently interact with customers, enhancing service quality by fostering professional and courteous relationships. The Airgas fleet is modern, with vehicles typically under six years old and equipped with advanced technologies such as onboard computers, collision avoidance systems, cameras, and GPS navigation, ensuring driver safety and operational efficiency.

The role also entails performing pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, handling deliveries directly on customer sites using hand carts, and following all safety protocols.
