Job Requirements
- Must have Class A commercial driver’s license with no restrictions
- Minimum age of 21 according to Federal D.O.T. regulations
- Must be able to pass a Department of Transportation physical and drug screen
- Open availability with flexible hours as this is a relief driver position
- Ability to climb, crawl, and work in bent and upright positions
- Must be capable of lifting and moving merchandise weighing up to 50 pounds repeatedly
- Ability to work in extreme weather conditions
- Maintain a good driving record
- Must be able to perform routine maintenance on the truck
- Strong communication skills for customer interaction
- Must be able to keep the inside of the truck clean
Job Qualifications
- Valid Class A commercial driver’s license with no restrictions
- Minimum age of 21 as per Federal D.O.T. regulations
- Good driving record
- Past route sales experience preferred
- Ability to work flexible hours including early starts
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Capability to perform physical tasks including lifting and moving heavy items
- Experience in handling sales transactions and record-keeping
- Knowledge of Department of Transportation regulations
- Ability to work in outdoor conditions, both hot and cold
- Competence in maintaining and cleaning delivery vehicles
Job Duties
- Drive truck over established route to deliver and sell dairy products to customers
- Follow all Department of Transportation regulations
- Collect money from customers and make change
- Record transactions on customer receipts
- Write customer orders and instructions
- Call on prospective customers to solicit new business
- Prepare order forms and sales contracts
- Inform regular customers of new products and services
- Listen to and resolve service complaints
- Load and unload products at destination
- Place stock on shelves or racks
- Set up merchandise and sales promotion displays
- Issue sales promotion materials to customers
- Collect or pick up empty containers or rejected merchandise
- Stack and unstack items weighing up to 50 pounds continuously
- Drag stacks of milk weighing approximately 240 pounds
- Keep truck clean and perform routine truck maintenance
- Work and drive safely, courteously, and efficiently
