The Ready-Mix Driver role at Cemex is a pivotal position that combines technical skill, safety awareness, and customer service. This job requires operating a concrete mixer truck responsibly to deliver concrete loads to various commercial and residential sites. The driver must navigate challenging terrains and site-specific conditions while ensuring timely and safe delivery. The role involves managing physical tasks like attaching and handling extension chutes weighing between thirty to fifty pounds, emphasizing the physical and technical demands of the position. Beyond driving and delivery, the Ready-Mix Driver will maintain the cleanliness and mechanical soundness of their vehicle, adhere strictly to safety standards, and work collaboratively with dispatch teams to optimize operation efficiency.

In this role, the driver contributes directly to the success of construction projects by ensuring materials are delivered precisely where and when they are needed, which impacts project timelines and client satisfaction. Job Requirements

  • Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL A or B)
  • High school diploma preferred
  • Must qualify as not prohibited in the FMCSA Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse
  • Proficient in English reading, writing, and speaking
  • Acceptable CSA and MVR record with no DUI/DWI in the last 5 years and no more than 3 moving violations in the past 3 years
  • Strong understanding of construction and transportation safety protocols
  • Ability to follow instructions and guidance from supervisors
  • Physical ability to handle extension chutes weighing 30 to 50 pounds
  • Ability to operate a ready-mix truck safely under diverse conditions

Job Qualifications

  • Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL A or B)
  • High school diploma preferred
  • Qualify as not prohibited in the FMCSA Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse
  • Proficient in English reading, writing, and speaking
  • Acceptable CSA and MVR driving record with no DUI/DWI in the last 5 years and no more than 3 moving violations in the past 3 years
  • Strong knowledge of safety protocols related to construction and transportation
  • Strong communication skills
  • Knowledge of traffic routes and basic truck maintenance skills is desirable

Job Duties
