The role of Ready-Mix Driver at Cemex involves operating a concrete mixer truck to deliver concrete to commercial and residential work sites. This job demands safety, skill, and reliability, requiring the driver to navigate complex environments including uneven terrain and tight spaces. The driver is responsible for managing concrete discharge, handling extension chutes weighing up to fifty pounds, and maintaining the truck's condition. The role also involves close coordination with dispatch and other team members to ensure efficient operations. Job Requirements

  • Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL A or B)
  • High school diploma preferred
  • Must qualify as not prohibited in FMCSA Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse
  • Proficient in English reading, writing, and speaking
  • Acceptable CSA and MVR record
  • No DUI or DWI in the last 5 years
  • No more than 3 moving violations in the past 3 years
  • Ability to follow safety protocols and instructions
  • Ability to handle physical demands including lifting up to 50 pounds
  • Willingness to work in outdoor industrial environments

Job Qualifications

  • Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL A or B)
  • High school diploma preferred
  • Proficient in English reading, writing, and speaking
  • Acceptable CSA and MVR record with no DUI/DWI in the last 5 years
  • No more than 3 moving violations in the past 3 years
  • Strong communication skills
  • Knowledge of safety protocols in construction and transportation industries
  • Basic truck maintenance skills desirable

Job Duties

  • Adhere to all safety regulations and promote a safe working environment
  • Ensure the safe and timely delivery of concrete loads to job sites
  • Adapt discharge methods to various site conditions
  • Attach and manage extension chutes as needed for concrete pouring
  • Maintain cleanliness and mechanical soundness of the ready-mix truck
  • Provide outstanding customer service and maintain a professional image
  • Coordinate closely with dispatch and team members for efficient operations
