The role of Ready-Mix Driver at Cemex is crucial to the successful delivery of concrete products to various construction sites. This position involves the safe and efficient operation of concrete mixer trucks, ensuring that loads are transported and discharged properly at commercial and residential locations. The driver must skillfully navigate diverse terrain and weather conditions while adhering strictly to safety protocols and regulations. Handling and attaching extension chutes, which can weigh between thirty to fifty pounds, is also a key part of the job to facilitate precise concrete placement. This role demands physical stamina, mechanical knowledge for basic truck upkeep, and excellent customer service skills to represent Cemex professionally at all times. As a Ready-Mix Driver, you will collaborate closely with dispatchers and other team members to maintain smooth operations and timely deliveries. Job Requirements

  • Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL A or B)
  • High school diploma preferred
  • Qualify as not prohibited in the FMCSA Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse
  • Proficient in English reading, writing, and speaking
  • Acceptable CSA and MVR record
  • No DUI/DWI in last five years
  • No more than three moving violations in past three years
  • Ability to follow safety protocols related to construction and transportation
  • Ability to communicate effectively and follow supervisor instructions
  • Ability to perform basic maintenance of truck
  • Physical ability to lift and handle extension chutes weighing 30 to 50 pounds

Job Qualifications

  • Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL A or B)
  • High school diploma preferred
  • Driver must qualify as not prohibited in the FMCSA Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse
  • Proficient in English (reading, writing, and speaking)
  • Acceptable CSA and MVR record with no DUI/DWI in the last five years
  • No more than three moving violations in the past three years
  • Strong understanding of safety protocols related to the construction and transportation industry
  • Strong communication skills and ability to follow instructions and guidance from supervisors
  • Knowledge of traffic routes and basic maintenance skills for truck upkeep (desirable)

Job Duties
