The Ready-Mix Driver position at Cemex is a crucial role responsible for transporting concrete to various commercial and residential job sites safely and efficiently. This hands-on role requires operating heavy machinery like concrete mixers while navigating diverse working conditions, including uneven terrains. Ready-Mix Drivers must be physically fit, as the job involves handling heavy extension chutes that weigh between thirty to fifty pounds, as well as performing routine mechanical checks to maintain the vehicle’s operational integrity. As the face of Cemex in transport operations, the driver must deliver exceptional customer service and maintain strong coordination with dispatch and team members to ensure timely deliveries and smooth project workflows.

Job Requirements

  • Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL A or B)
  • High school diploma preferred
  • Qualification as not prohibited in the FMCSA Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse
  • Proficient in English reading, writing, and speaking
  • Acceptable CSA and Motor Vehicle Record
  • No DUI/DWI in the last 5 years
  • No more than 3 moving violations in the past 3 years
  • Ability to follow safety protocols related to construction and transportation
  • Ability to lift and handle extension chutes weighing 30 to 50 pounds
  • Capability to adapt to various site conditions including uneven terrain

Job Qualifications

  • Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL A or B)
  • High school diploma preferred
  • Proficient in English reading, writing, and speaking
  • Acceptable CSA and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
  • No DUI/DWI in the last 5 years
  • No more than 3 moving violations in the past 3 years
  • Strong understanding of safety protocols in construction and transportation
  • Strong communication skills and ability to follow supervisory instructions
  • Knowledge of traffic routes and basic truck maintenance preferred

Job Duties

  • Adhere to all safety regulations and promote a safe working environment
  • Ensure the safe and timely delivery of concrete loads to commercial and residential job sites
  • Adapt discharge methods to various site settings and conditions
  • Attach and manage extension chutes for precise concrete pouring
  • Maintain cleanliness and mechanical soundness of the ready-mix truck
