The company is committed to diversity and inclusion, providing equal opportunity employment and adhering to rigorous standards for employee safety and operational excellence.
The CDL-A Delivery Driver role at McLane is designed for drivers eager to take their CDL-A career further by delivering excellence and commitment on the road. This position offers industry-leading pay ranging from $65,000 to $85,000 annually and includes day-one benefits such as medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as company-paid life insurance. Drivers also accrue paid holidays, vacation time, and sick leave from the start and benefit from a 401(k) Profit Sharing Plan after 90 days. Additional perks include pet insurance, maternity and paternity leave, employee assistance programs, discount opportunities, and tuition reimbursement.
As a CDL-A Delivery Driver with McLane, individuals will be responsible for inspecting tractor-trailers pre and post-trip to ensure safety, verifying delivery documents and store keys during off-hour deliveries, and skillfully driving vehicles to destinations while adhering to commercial driving regulations. Maintaining accurate driver logs according to Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements is essential, along with documenting delivery receipts, product temperatures, and any exceptions. The role also involves unloading trailers and conducting deliveries on customer premises, with other duties assigned as necessary.
Candidates for this position must be at least 21 years old, possess a valid Class A commercial driver's license, and have at least one year or 50,000 verifiable miles of tractor-trailer driving experience. They must meet McLane's Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) and risk rating qualifications. Competency in reading, writing, and understanding English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks safely and effectively is mandatory, as this ensures compliance with safety protocols and operational standards.
Successful candidates are expected to be safety-focused, reliable, adaptable, and dedicated—qualities that have helped McLane maintain its reputation as a trusted industry leader. The company conducts background checks and drug screens in accordance with applicable laws to uphold safety and security standards.
Joining McLane means becoming part of a forward-moving team that values its members and contributes to the backbone of America’s supply chain. Drivers at McLane benefit not only from competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits but also from the company’s ongoing commitment to innovation, professional development, and creating a supportive workplace environment where everyone is welcomed and respected.
