As a driver at Builders FirstSource, you will be responsible for the timely loading, transporting, and delivery of building materials and supplies to customer sites. This role requires adherence to driver safety and compliance regulations, maintaining detailed delivery logs, and providing top-notch customer service. The position is designed for non-CDL drivers operating vehicles weighing between 10,001 and 26,000 pounds. Drivers must load and secure products appropriately, verify order accuracy, and ensure goods are delivered undamaged. A significant part of the role involves direct interaction with customers, serving as the face of Builders FirstSource, addressing and resolving any delivery-related issues professionally. Drivers are also expected to maintain their vehicles' cleanliness and safety compliance, perform regular safety checks, and operate material handling equipment like forklifts when necessary. Beyond delivery duties, this role requires maintaining hours of service logs, completing pre and post-trip inspections, and may include picking up credit and product returns.
