The role available is that of a Driver Merchandiser, based out of the Fort Myers location, offering a schedule of four days a week with a fifth day as needed. The shift starts early at 3:00 AM and typically lasts around ten hours, providing Sundays off. The position is ideal for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy working with leading beverage brands. The Driver Merchandiser is responsible for delivering and unloading products to customer locations on designated routes and ensuring the display and rotation of products on shelves, in displays, and coolers according to company standards.

This position requires physical stamina as it involves lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling products and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds repetitively, often in hot and humid indoor environments. Additionally, the driver will be responsible for operating manual transmissions and using smartphone and routing technology for order handling, invoicing, and fleet management. Alongside delivery and merchandising duties, the Driver Merchandiser must ensure load stability and accuracy, invoice and collect payments, secure company assets, and maintain compliance with regulatory and company policies. This role is essential in maintaining the high standards of brand presentation and customer service that Coke Florida is known for, making it a critical link between the company and its valued customers.

Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States
  • Must have a valid Commercial Class A driver's license
  • Must have a driving record with no major moving violations in the last three (3) years
  • At least 1 year of general work experience required
  • Ability to operate a hand-truck and powered industrial equipment
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a powered industrial truck certification
  • Familiarity with DOT regulations
  • Must be able to pass a Department of Transportation physical and/or have a valid DOT Medical Card
  • Operate manual transmission

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • 1+ years of commercial driving experience preferred
  • Local delivery experience preferred
  • Customer service and cash handling experience preferred
  • Prior grocery store and/or consumer products experience a plus
  • HazMat endorsement may be required
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision

Job Duties

  • Responsible for driving and delivery of pre-ordered product to assigned accounts and for rotating and stocking product
  • Check accuracy and stability of the load
  • Deliver products to customers
  • Merchandise, display and rotate products according to company standards
  • Invoice and collect monies due
  • Pick up company property
  • Secure company assets
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and company policies and procedures
  • Settle all accounts daily
  • Utilize smartphone technology in handling customer orders/invoicing
  • Utilize technology for Electronic Logging Systems and fleet management
  • Comply with routing software guidance
