Job Requirements
- Must have a valid Texas Class A Commercial Driver's License
- Must have a valid Medical Examiner's Card
- Hazmat and Airbrake certifications required
- Minimum of one year of prior Class A professional driving experience within the last five years or equivalent accredited driving school diploma with experience
- Clean driving record with limited convictions or accidents
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Ability to read and understand safety data sheets
- Physical ability to lift 25 to 75 pounds routinely and assist with heavier loads using equipment
- Able to drive hazardous cargo for up to 8 hours and perform frequent bending
- Must obtain forklift operator certification
- Ability to work independently and under pressure to meet deadlines
Job Qualifications
- Valid Texas Class A Commercial Driver's License
- Valid Medical Examiner's Card
- Hazmat and Airbrake certifications
- At least one year of prior Class A professional driving experience within the last five years with a clean driving record
- Ability to read and comprehend material safety data sheets
- Ability to routinely lift 25 to 75 pounds and occasionally lift over 125 pounds with equipment
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Must be able to obtain forklift operator certification
- Must be at least 21 years old
Job Duties
- Safely load, deliver, and unload cylinders containing compressed gases to customer locations
- Accurately record deliveries and pickups on load manifests, obtaining customer signatures
- Collect empty, rejected, or unsold cylinders and return them to plants or branches for refilling
- Adhere to Airgas safety standards and government regulations including DOT, EPA, FMCSA, FDA, and OSHA
- Provide assistance in the warehouse or on the dock as needed
