Job Description

Better Trucks is an innovative and rapidly expanding last-mile delivery company preparing to launch its services in the Charleston, South Carolina area this August. Known for being one of America’s fastest-growing delivery networks, Better Trucks specializes in providing efficient, flexible, and independent delivery opportunities for drivers using their own vehicles. This company stands out due to its unique approach to last-mile delivery, focusing on empowering independent contractors with flexible schedules while offering reliable earning potential. Better Trucks supports a diverse and inclusive network of drivers, emphasizing the importance of community and customer satisfaction through top-tier parcel delivery. By partnering with Better Trucks, drivers get the opportunity to be part of a brand-new market expansion from day one, contributing to the company’s growth and success in the Greater Charleston Metro Area, including Charleston, Berkeley, and Dorchester counties.

The role offered by Better Trucks is an independent contractor delivery driver position, ideal for individuals who seek flexibility and a flexible side hustle or primary gig that works around their existing commitments. Drivers use their own cars, SUVs, minivans, cargo vans, sprinters, or pickup trucks (with covered beds) to deliver parcels within specified zones. The company offers a route-based pay structure with estimated earnings ranging from $75 to $140 or more per route. Unlike conventional hourly jobs, Better Trucks pays by the route block, ensuring drivers receive full pay for the assigned route block regardless of how quickly they complete their deliveries. This allows motivated and efficient drivers to maximize their income potential.

This contract-based job offers same-day pay, meaning drivers receive their earnings the very same day after completing their routes. Routes typically last between 2 to 6 hours, giving drivers the freedom to select the delivery blocks that best fit their schedules. The onboarding process is simple and user-friendly, supported by an app that facilitates registration, interest in specific route blocks, package scanning, navigation, and payment processing, all designed to optimize driver experience. To participate, drivers must be at least 21 years old, possess a valid U.S. driver’s license and proof of insurance, have a smartphone (iPhone or Android), and be able to lift and carry packages up to 50 pounds. Applicants must also be authorized to work in the United States and are subject to background checks.

The pickup location for packages is based in Charleston, SC, with service covering the Lowcountry area, including key locations such as Charleston, North Charleston, Mount Pleasant, and Summerville. This opportunity suits individuals looking for supplemental income through a flexible side job, holiday work, or a regular gig that offers freedom in hours and consistent earnings. Better Trucks promotes equal opportunity employment with a commitment to diversity and inclusivity, encouraging drivers from all backgrounds to apply and grow with the company. Join Better Trucks today to drive your success and be part of an emerging delivery network that values independence, flexibility, and a rewarding work experience.
