This opportunity is for the role of Driver I, a crucial position in Lowe's logistics and customer service operations. In this role, the associate is responsible for ensuring the accurate, timely, and safe delivery of products from local warehouses to customers. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 1-2 years experience driving box trucks with GVW between 14,500 and 26,000 lbs
  • physical ability to lift up to 40 pounds and move continuously
  • ability to comply with DOT and CDL regulations if applicable
  • valid medical certificate or ability to obtain one
  • valid driver license that is current and in-state
  • availability to work flexible shifts and overtime
  • ability to perform daily vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs

Job Qualifications

  • 1-2 years experience with box truck driving

  • valid medical certificate or ability to obtain one upon employment
  • valid and in-state driver license
  • less than 1 year experience operating forklift or power equipment such as lifts and order pickers
  • less than 1 year experience performing in-home delivery or retail customer service
  • detail-oriented with experience in a fast-paced environment
  • spatial reasoning for effective product positioning

Job Duties

  • Plans delivery activities, prints loading tickets, and delivers merchandise according to schedule to ensure on-time delivery of orders
  • utilizes hand-held device technology to capture signatures for all deliveries
  • may support with warehouse operations as needed, including pulling, checking, stocking and other tasks
  • verifies daily vehicle inspections and reports and ensures cleanliness, maintenance, and repairs for delivery vehicles and other equipment such as lift gates
  • escalates customer complaints, dissatisfaction, and procedure violations
  • partners with sales team and other departments to ensure efficient and coordinated customer service
  • adheres to all safety and compliance guidelines, including policy and procedure for the operation of company vehicles and warehouse equipment
  • works as an individual contributor
