This opportunity is for the role of Driver I, a crucial position in Lowe's logistics and customer service operations. In this role, the associate is responsible for ensuring the accurate, timely, and safe delivery of products from local warehouses to customers. Key responsibilities revolve around effective routing, proper loading of delivery vehicles, and adherence to safety and compliance guidelines concerning company vehicles and equipment. The Driver I is expected to work independently but in coordination with the sales team and other departments to sustain efficient and coordinated customer service. Additionally, responsibilities may include supporting warehouse tasks such as pulling, checking, and stocking merchandise.

This position demands physical fitness, as it involves continuous movement and lifting up to 40 pounds, alongside operating power equipment and maintaining daily vehicle inspections. Candidates must have experience with box truck driving, specifically with vehicles having a gross vehicle weight between 14,500 and 26,000 pounds, and the ability to comply with Department of Transportation (DOT) and Commercial Driver's License (CDL) regulations if applicable. Flexibility in shift work and availability for voluntary or scheduled overtime is required, with additional pay for overtime hours.

The hourly pay range is competitive, between $20.60 and $25.45, with the starting rate varying based on factors such as position, location, education, training, and experience.
