This role is for the position of CDL-A Driver at Vistar, an essential job within the company’s logistics and food supply chain operations. This is an hourly, full-time job offering a competitive pay rate of $27 per hour and benefits starting from day one. The position entails local and regional routes with a Monday through Friday schedule and early morning dispatch, ensuring a predictable and balanced work-life routine. As a CDL-A Driver, you will play a critical role in ensuring that food and food-related products are delivered safely, promptly, and in excellent condition to customers, contributing directly to the continuity and efficiency of America’s food distribution system.

In this role, drivers operate tractor trailers or straight trucks on various routes, including intrastate, interstate, local, shuttle, and overnight drives. You will be the face of Vistar to customers, building strong, lasting relationships by providing professional communication and outstanding service. The CDL-A Driver position requires adherence to all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company safety protocols to ensure safe delivery practices. You will perform pre- and post-trip safety inspections, verify loading accuracy, secure cargo properly, and complete all necessary paperwork meticulously.

A typical day involves driving assigned routes, unloading products at customer locations, managing returns, and maintaining the cleanliness and safety of vehicles and loading areas. Attention to detail is vital as you will be responsible for verifying deliveries, collecting payments where needed, and reporting any damaged goods or safety concerns immediately.
